either, both. doesn't matter. recipies so we can actually make brownies, and really good ideas so we can be completely silly/fantastic/fantasizing about eating brownies.

If you take about half a cup of maraschino cherries, cut them in half and add them to Brownie batter, it gives the Brownies a chocolate-covered cherry sort of flavor. Very tasty indeed!

Okay, okay, ladies. The CoTB's Tester of Recipes is here. Not only do I have an awesome brownie recipe posted on my home page (wink, wink) but my tastebuds are ready. Where are the goodies? Where's the ? I need that to cleanse my palate.

Yum. I love Black Forest Cake, so this should be pretty similar. Speaking of which--cherry pie filling would be good as well. Also other liquors that would be good:
Grand Marnier
Framboise
Amaretto
Anyone want to make some for me????? Please???????

Amaretto is spectacular in Brownies. I've never tried Grand Marnier, but it should be good too. I'll have to try it. Frangelico is another thing I'd like to try - I'm a huge hazelnut fan...

Ooooo...Frangelico....sounds divine. My friend gave me about 30 back copies of Food and Wine magazine, and while I am ripping them apart in search of great recipes I have yet to find a really good brownie recipe. But I am having fun searching.
Have you ever had amaretto fudge? The Sweet Palace in Philipsburg, MT (you *might* have been there, Gwen) makes homemade candy, chocolate, and fudge, and their fudge is absolutely to die for--especially the amaretto. They also have chocolate truffles made from Moose Drool beer that are pretty good too!

I don't *think* I've had the amaretto fudge, although the Sweet Palace sounds awfully familiar... Definitely sounds like something that I will have to try though. All I have to do is convince E to go back up to MT again...

What, he didn't like it the first time?
Hey, what's up with the bake off? Where are the other contestants? Are the three of us alone here? There must be others out there that would love to share! Speaking of which, I'm entering two items in the county fair this year--pie and chocolate-chip cookies. I haven't settled on *what* type of pie yet. Or I might make those brownies on my home page. I need to turn the goods in by next Monday. It will be great to say "I have a blue-ribbon recipe here..."

It also makes a lovely sour.
E went up to Bozeman once, before we met, with his girlfriend of the time. What he didn't know was that she wanted to visit *her* girlfriend. All very sordid, I'm sure. I haven't asked for details to be perfectly honest.
Anyway, they got caught in a nasty blizzard in Wyoming on their way back down. As he is from southern New Mexico, it was his first chance to drive in the snow, I fear. Needless to say, it was not a plesant memory for him.
I've promised that our next trip up will be during the summer, so that he doesn't have as much of a worry in terms of snow.

Is that sarcasm?
*thinks back to the June 6th snowstorm this year whick knocked out power for a few days...*

I'm never sarcastic, m'dear.
I was thinking more along the idea of late July, early August. A break from the heat down here, and a chance for some comfortable weather.
