*lights up in office full of smokers who don't care anymore*
The government passed a law here (South Africa) awhile ago saying that public places beneath a roof of some sort are non-smoking areas, but failed to do the research that would have told them that the majority of south-africans (80%+) are smokers.
*takes a puff & taps ash into nearby ash-tray*
The effect that this has had on businesses with regards to 'smoke-breaks' is that a (rather large) percentage of the day is wasted on the person needing the 'smoke-break' having to go to the smoker's area (which usually ends up being outside the building on the ground-floor).
*stubs out cigarette in aforementioned ash-tray*
