I haven't actually sent the link to myself as an email message. I don't have to as I'm on a PC with all the extra abilities that implies. However, it does seem to be sensible for a digibox user to either email themselves the link in clickable form or to put it on their PS (in the page, a journal entry or a message thread) where they can click on it if they have some other means of getting to their page - or for anyone else who is still trying to get back in to use. Do *not* put up a link with your actual login and password details though! Only the empty one is safe.

SEF...

Yeh i have done it mate you have to put the full link in and it makes it how it looks in your message

Yeh i have put the empty link in mate

Well the reason is i have a old link done on the computer that allowed me in before they had the change
With the new link i have to ask some one on a computer do do a link for me
to get me back on site but every so often it tells me the link i have used isn`t recognised

But this link allows me to go to the log in page so i just have to use the old link to get on and then click on that enter my details and away i go

Very crafty if i do say so my selfsmiley - biggrin

SEF I tried to send the link to the researcher and make it workable but when I looked at my sent emails folder it did not come out in blue. Please tell me how do I send this link to the researcher and make it work for her so that she does not have to do anything.smiley - ta

Thanks

I think Rho explains it quite well in A1914491 - especially as he has added the suggested improvements on how to make the email work for a digibox user and to warn people about their login username not necessarily being the same as their nickname.

Anyhow this should be the generic version without the username and password details filled in. NB I only added the space after http: to stop the link from being turned into one here!

As far as I know, the updated Telewest system handles SSO *better* than the previous system!

WOOHOOO! Finally, a Telewest upgrade! I never realised that Front Row previews were so ... repetetive (oh look, its Donnie Darko again; Do you believe in time ... travel?</spooky voice&gtsmiley - winkeye & don't get me started on this keyboard with its frisky mind of its own!?
But back to the topic (ahem), is that a space that my squint can see before "target" in the link?
& am I still not allowed to signout even if I include username and password in the link? & is signout the same as logout on the plain skin screens?
