quite a lot of bed and breakfasts are near pubs pierce (sometimes right next door)
but you see if you had a bed and pub it'd just be an inn and not a B&P. sorry but thats just the way it is.

Those are not unknown. Anything called an inn has or once had rooms to stay in.

I must learn to notice when the conversation goes over the page.
One problem is that the place isn't allowed to serve alcohol before 11am. Of course, this may not be a problem, depending on your habits.

*wanders in, fashionlessly late as usual, grabs a bottle of and hits the food table* Ouch! *climbs -up- on the table this time and partakes of crumblies and other neat yummy stuff, rewinds the tape of Linus' speech and settles down to listen intently *

I love the brits and their islands - I think I may have mentioned that before - but why do you have to drink in your home for so many hours? Not a good example for your children is it?

in england you're legally allowed to drink alcohol from the age of three as long as you dont buy it.
and your allowed to drink in a pub from the age of thirteen.

I thought it was in a pub from 14, but only with a meal (packet of peanuts doesn't count).
On the Isle of Man pubs are now allowed to open when they want. Does that count?

Anquet Posted Oct 14, 2001
well the isle of man is a law unto itself....
though i think they may have abolished last orders now in england so you can close when you like.
and of course you can buy alcohol from an off license any time of the day so it's ok really.

Plenty of 24 hour pubs in Sydney . Also many pubs in Australia do have accomodation especially in the country towns. I am staying in one this weekend for our end of season rugby trip

Bagpuss Posted Oct 15, 2001
I don't think they'll have got rid of last orders yet. And aren't offies bound by licensing hours as well?
Lucky you, Linus.

The Bars (pubs) close at 2:00 am here. None have rooms. Some reopen at 8:00 am for those who work the night shift. No beer or booze can be sold before noon on Sunday. Keeps em sober at church. (ruins my fun!)

Aaah my college has a bar where most of the drink is half price, it's excellent it's like a minutes walk from my room and if that gets dull I can go next door to the next college and drink their haf price liquids instead
