The only thing I am querying is that there appears to be three quotes one after the other until closely expected. Should the middle bit be as long as the pragraphs not the quotes. comphrendez?

or what you could do is ellipse before the 'it' - it kind of follows on fromt he previous mention of laughter. Would that work?
