FF18 - Week Nine

:: looks over at the real thread for week 8 with a expression of slight concern ::
I see that no one has yet posted a week 8 prediction, and here I am posting week 9's games. I do hope that this doesn't lead to fixture congestion
Anyway, to week 9. This week we're back on home soil, and the theme for the week is 'strugglers'. All the games include at least one team who are in a spot of bother at or towards the bottom of their respective league.
In this list you'll notice two things.
1) A grwoing mood of confidence at Sheffield United, depite four of their next five games reading - Liverpool, Bolton, Chelsea, Man Utd and all away from home.
2) I'm being nice to Psycorp for a change.
Charlton v West Ham
Watford v Everton
Sheffield Wednesday v Southend
Crystal Palace v Luton
Northampton v Rotherham
All predictions to be in before kick off - I think that's 3pm, but it'd be worth your while checking that fact - on Saturday, 24th February.

Gee, thanks GD. Nice of you to neglect to put a Leeds based prediction down.

from me too for not including Bradford v. Brentford, which now looks like a real relegation six-pointer. After some of the recent City performances I've seen, I don't think I'd have predicted a home win.

Watford 0-2 Everton (Beattie)
Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 Southend (Brunt)
Crystal Palace 2-0 Luton (Scowcroft)
Northampton 0-0 Rotherham
And because I know GD would've put it if I wasn't going to point out the constant Leeds-based harrassment:
Wolves 0-1 Leeds (Cresswell via a deflection off the referee's nose, two floodlights and a man holding a sandwich stood in row F. I hope)

If the goal is actually scored that way McKay I think you should lobby GD for a bonus point or several.
Alternatively you might apply to replace Ally McCoist as a Captain on a Question of Sport. As you would clearly wipe the floor in what happens next rounds.

I assume as a retort to my sandwich based prediction.
Which I suppose begs the question "why a sandwich in row F?"

Oh, besides which, you ALWAYS point out Leeds-based harrassment.
Why do you think we do it?

At least the chicken pies and sandwiches in Row F are better than the cabbages on the pitch .

There is no need to insult Upton Park's past history.

If we are going for ludicrous predictions.
Ross County 1 - Livingston 0 (despite two onside Livingston players finding the back of the net and a clear penalty not being given for the second week in sucession)
