i want to apologize about my earlier post... even though i'm no lille fan, i had trouble sleeping last night because of the injustice in last night's result...

but that "injustice" can't be blamed on giggs, or the ref, or on hottentot oil barons spending 5 times LOSC's annual turnover on transfers every summer. sport is just going to be unfair at times. it was a cruel lesson to a young team that deserved better, but hey, that's life.

on the other hand, i'm really shocked by what i'm reading on 606, GT, and some forums... between the crowd problem and the "walkoff" which wasn't really one, there are some pretty jingoistic criticisms being levelled at all things french. if you put the corresponding press and popular reactions from france* side-by-side, i don't think you'd be proud of the comparison.



* generally: 1) MU's victory was deserved, 2) the police reaction was scandalous, 3) english fans are among the best and it's time to stop living in the 70's

Tonight is going to be interesting, by my calculations my 2 correct results and one correct score bonus brings me level at the top with AndyG who only had one correct result.

This is my second season

There are times when I worry about Demon Drawer. The dear chap I feel takes this game far too seriously. OK, I suppose he has got good cause this week what with his hopes for a number 1 spot in the league, but even so.

As an aside, Psycorp's got a correct score right for the first time this season. Which means that it is only I amongst the regular players who still have a zero in one of the four categories on points available - I never was much good at working out who was likely to score in a game

I have to admit the second eased my pain when on review of thte action replay it was announced that Bellamy and not Kuyt had scored Liverpool's first goal last night.

Me take this game too seriously. Never, no, no never, well maybe.
