In a dramatic change to the fixture norms; this week we're going to have a whole bunch of mid week fixtures.

Now you don't have to panic, I'm not doing fixtures for this week now. All of the games are being played next week, so that's a full 8 or 9 days away. It does of course mean that you'll see the list for week nine posted here before the week eight games are actually played. But I reckon you're all bright enough to deal with a touch of fixture congestion.

And the games in week eight and a half? Why, it's the Champions League of course

these were picked by my son who thinks he'll have a go of his own next season... the only exception is that i don't agree with him that porto will beat chelsea 7-1. kids do need SOME adult guidance you know!

Yeah 7-1 is a bit much I've only watched my team get beaten by that score once. Mind you it was against one of the teams in this week's predictions.

Well done Mu Beta, for prdicting Arsenal would slip up at PSV, Greydesk for believing in Celtic being able to hold Milan,and to Psycorp (grudgingly), to Demon Drawer and again to Greydesk for rightly thinking that United and Lille would end 1-0.

Arsenal slip up?

C'mon - they've got no defence, a headstruck midfield and a star striker who's clearly unfit. What did you expect me to predict?

actually it was my son who got the lille match right! or maybe not even... one team scores a brilliant goal, another an underhanded one, and in the end, the richest team goes through. another sterling example of british sportsmanship.

i was expecting to make a reclamation this morning, but since lille isn't, how can i?

in my travels before settling in lyon, i more or less supported quite a few teams: fiorentina, rapid vienna, ajax, monaco, arsenal, martigues... i've never been an MU supporter, but i'd always been a huge fan of mr. ryan giggs... until last night.

I was quite looking forward to each of Nakamura's free kicks for Celtic if only one (the first the best) had connected well I'd have managed a full house possibly.

Now why didn't I use the same approach for guessing the ManUre scorer.
