I know what you mean, nonametraveller. I have had to cut down on them myself. But I'm always ready to enjoy a beer or two anytime!

~Kheldar, who finally got the sweeping out of his legs, sits at the bar, after thanking Mari-rae for the dance ~
Well, as long as I'm here now, I might as well get a drink. I heard someone mentioning beer?

I did, I'll confess. It's pretty early where I am, but I'll be glad to join you for one before I head out to face the world.

I'm back.
I just got myself a world time watch. I'm hoping it's set right and am assuming that you are in GMT zone. It is now 12:35 PM here (EST), and I'm just having beer #3 of the day.
" Beer all around!!" ?

... and I'll have a couple of *Old Bastards* just to keep up with the rest of you!
Don't worry veggie... maybe we can have a dance IRL next month, although I don't think that it will be quite such an opulent setting as the one here

Wow, I can be such an idiot sometimes. I just realised what IRL means. Being a newbie(all around the net), can be an enlightening experience. WARBIRDS!

*Feels very sad and left out that she will not be able to make the get together in London next month. 8-( Is also wondering what kind of a game Rounders might be. Maybe the Sheraton should be booked IRL for the N. Americans???*
Warbirds; a nice large vt, please.

Hey chaps and chapesses! I got a bit lost in the hotel, but got here eventually......
I think it's time to try one of those "Old Bastards" but first, can someone tell me exactly what it is I'll be drinking, please?
*Looks at Shazz who seems to know a lot about "Old Bastards"*
Hey Mari-Rae.....
If you want to know what Rounders is, it's a game that used to be custom and practice in British schools (at least when I was growing up) and could possibly be the forerunner to your U.S. baseball. Two opposing teams, taking turns to bat and having to try to run past bases without stopping but can be run out if a fielder manages to touch the base with the ball before the batsman gets there. Great fun unless you're useless at batting (like wot I woz!).

Hi Mari-rae,
Finally got a look at your page. Gosh, but you are surrounded by a lot of animals. Nice to see another American here. Not so nice to such a swamp of newbies, though. I know I'm being selfish, but I've just gotten used to a decent clip, and now it's slow as molasses in January (which, incidently can also be quite fast if you're inclined to throw globs of it on your brother or someone).
I've been talking to alicat(with few replies today - she must be busy). Maybe we could do SOMETHING here in the US. I doubt if we'll be able to get it together by the middle of May, but remember, those Europeans are a ways ahead of us time-wise.
Hope the weather's nice in Wisconsin; meanwhile, maybe I could borrow your towel? (I think Greebo's got mine)

You should try living in Australia if you want to feel left out - i'll bet they haven't taken our timezone into account for the virtual birthday party
But enough of that..... *waves to Gwennie and Mari-rae* Now where were we, Ah yes,Shazz and Old Bastards........LOL

So it's almost 10:00AM where you are, huh?(according to my new 'world time' watch. I have a pretty good time table, should it be posted somewhere?
Well I hope it's a nice day in Australia. I've always wanted to go there, maybe when I'm rich and famous.
Would you like a beer?
