I'm gonna get hyperactive with all that coffee...
Anyway, you don't have to apologize, Frenchbean, it's not an Ideological thing, I just don't really like alcohol. I guess you can say it's an aquired taste I never bothered to aquire.

I never used to drink due to not liking the taste of alcohol.... and then I went to university!

Is it not a wonderful thing to be on a site where it is always the 'cocktail hour' for someone who has access? We are approaching 7.00 pm and I am ready for an

*Stumbles into room, half-hidden under a pile of books about Pre-Islamic Poetry*
Good morning... I guess.
*toys with the idea of throwing the books into the fireplace*
*gives up, sighs, and slumps down in an armchair*

Hey... where did everybody go?
(My, it really is nice to have an alter-ego in hootoo that can actually get some sleep)

Actually, I've not been away anywhere; just accidentally unsubscribed from this thread a few months ago

I'm currently at work avoiding getting round to applying for a better job, but it's so much more comfortable here than round at the Procrastinators' Guild...

At work on a Sunday evening? Sounds to me like you *need* a better job than that.
Did you see all Jimi X's new entries about Pennsylvania in PR? Any of them made it into the Geog Soc? Is JX a member yet? I have to admit I haven't read them yet, but will try to find time this week... if I can tear myself away from the bar *hic*

Seventh to sign up... although I don't think he's subscribed anywhere.
I've been neglecting the 'entries in Peer Review' thread of late - I was kind of hoping people would contribute to it periodically, but seeing as I forgot when I put an entry in PR myself then, well...

Working in sport, there's quite a lot of weekend working. The hours are actually quite good, 10 hours 4 times a week, which means 3 days off and you're not part of the 9 to 5 grind. And the best thing about shift work is that someone takes the job off your hands when you walk out of the door, so you never have to stay late to get the job done - or think about it too much in your spare time.
But it does mess with your social life...

Oh that makes me feel better!
I've done a few on Orkney recently, but they've all had historical themes, so I've not alerted the Geog Soc to them.
I still have one on Vancouver Island brewing in my mind, as well as one on the Abel Tasman National Park in NZ.
I'll let you know. I'm having a bit of a rest from writing entries at the moment. Last time I said that I'd submitted a new one within 48 hours, so those could well be famous last words
