IMHO, I believe that cotton is the best material for pants construction. I just don't like the sensation of shiny satin pants, and lace can be a bit itchy.
Whilst still a child I was the proud owner of a set of pants with the days written on the front. I annoyed my parents silly by insisting on wearing the right pant for the day. Oddly enough, there was no "Sunday" in my pants set. Obviously a day of commando!
The best pants I have seen belonged to Rocky in the Rocky Horror show. Lovely tight gold lame pants! Nice!

Any thing other than cotton can be allergic as well. Nylon or satin does not absorb moisture and can lead to fungal infection or any other skin disease
