Yeah, been playing them for a couple of years now. I also have a biggish (3000 points) Marine army, some Death Guard (a tank short of 1500)... I'm currently in the process of beefing my Tau up to 1500 points and then the temptation to finally paint my Imperial Guard will probably be too great!
Used to play against Dark Eldar a lot, found the trick was to shoot the transports and not get into close combat with Archons or Incubi. (Having said that, Wych succubi with agonisers made a mess of my big bugs on more than one occasion.)

Necrons are a nightmare to face. Every time I've played them I've been massacred, the Nids didn't even get into combat (okay this was partly due to me forgetting to fleet foot them on turn one).
On the other hand I was the first person in my gaming group to kill a C'Tan (it was just about the only thing I did kill that game).

I've only ever lost one battle.My Nightbringer has been killed once, by Abadon the Despoier (his sword automatically kills anything OUTRIGHT) but not before it had killed an entire squad of Chaos Marines, an Aspiering Champion and A LAND RAIDER!
Needless to say I won that battle.

Heh, killed Nightbringer once... lotsa lascannons, and (IIRC) powerfists for the coup de grace. Still lost, though: I've only ever heard of that army losing once, when the dice came up snake eyes on a teleport scatter and the Necron Lord was lost in the warp, leaving a tooled-up space marine commander to chew through most of the army single handed...
I may be biased (and I will of course change my mind if I ever do the army) but the Necron list seems horribly powerful. Luckily we tend to play 1500 point games so facing a monolith *and* a C'Tan hardly ever happens.
Of course, I play Necrons in Battlefleet Gothic and always say 'They're not too tough!!!' when people complain about them there...

nightbringer is just a big woose. my gaurd take him down everytime. The joys of a Leman Russ and two Basalisks eh?
Ive got about 3000 pints of Saim-Hann Eldar, 5000 or maybe 6000 of Black Templar and about 2500 of Gaurd (its a new army)
