Hypatia! You are a dear!
*looks around and nods approvingly*
I think I'll go and give last year's contestans a nudge - oh, and I've added your name to the festival page!

Here luv, thanks for dropping by. While I'm waiting for folks to bring their cakes in, I thought I'd serve up a little something for the visitors. Nothing fancy. Just pound cake with a variety of toppings.

I wonder what kind of cake will take first prize this year? So many possibilities. The suspense is killing me.

Here is an explanation of the procedure for submiting entries, as written by Titania, our great festival organizer.
1) Create an entry
2) Describe your cake in the most drool worthy manner as possible
3) Add recipe
4) Post at the Cake Competition conversation, giving a link to said entry

*Shazz staggers in bearing a fully-decorated Christmas Cake. It has beautiful, smooth, pure white icing around the sides and a peaked effect on the top with a delightful snow scene incorporating a Santa, a fir tree, and two slightly ancient robins. The whole affair is enhanced by the pink rosettes intersperced with little silver balls which surround the top and cascade charmingly down the sides. There is a rich, fruity smell with overtones of brandy.*
A665552 - sorry, it has appeared in TP before, but this one is freshly baked just for this competition!

Hooray! I didn't miss the judging deadline.
Here's my cake, moist and glistening slightly, wafting a spicy aroma into the tent.

(Here's hoping the judges appreciate that I've pandered to their desire for alcohol)

Well, I'm sure you can find recipes by googling - and if you do, create an entry, put the recipe into it (and a description of what it looks and tastes like if you decided to try it out in RL) and then post a link to the entry here

I would feel like a fraud if I didn't try it out in real life, now this seems like a plan. Unfortunatly I am feeling lazy today so I would be buying all of the ingredents from the shop downstairs...

Z - a quick and easy can be made with crushed digestive biscuits, melted butter (the base), one beaten pack of Philly, a jar of pie filling (any flavour!) and squirty cream. Yummy!
