A Conversation for The Village de la Vavoom's Second Annual Harvest Festival 2003

A very jolly looking red-and-white striped tent has been raised just slightly off to one side of the festival area - not so long away to be inconvenient, yet long enough for the noise of beer related singing not to bother more innocent festival partakers
Inside it seems perpertually warm and comfortable, with a clear, dim (!) light from multi-coloured chandeliers. Scattered around are small tables and chairs - that can all easily be rearranged to sit anything from a few people up to large festive companies.
A bar desk in either end promises an incomprehensibly large variety of . All sorts of bottled beer are present in the glass-covered fridges behind the bar desks - yet, each bar only has one tap.
But it's not just a tap. It's a tap! For the trained bartenders, this very tap allows just exactly the draught beer of choice to be pulled - and poured into one of the immaculately polished glasses, hanging in large numbers overhead.
Come on in, have a , sit or stand - end enjoy

*floating in, in her usual vague, elf-like manner*
Oooo... this does look nice, doesn't it?
Now, what to choose, what to choose... what would you recommend?
The Beer Tent
Santragenius V Posted Sep 9, 2003
Well, just now's special is "The Golden Lady" - or Tuborg Gold, if oyu will...
Or you could have a Berliner Weissen -- red, yellow or green?
*pours a Kilkenny for himself*
Or one of these...?
The Beer Tent
Santragenius V Posted Sep 9, 2003
Ooohh, nearly forgot!
*puts a small sign on the bar desks:
During the wee hours,
partrons are kindly asked
to exhibit polite self-service *

*wonders what a partron is *
*puts a blanket over Titania, turns down the music a notch and dims the lightning a wee bit*

now this is a real harvest festival..
(* pours an early morning and tries to read the program *)
any live music today??
The Beer Tent
Santragenius V Posted Sep 10, 2003
I didn't really get time to study the programme - lots to do with banging down tent pegs and rolling in kegs
Lots of live beer, though

Ah! That was a refreshing little nap - I think I'll have a Kingfisher before I do my daily round to the other tents and stalls...
