Red Dog, *nothing* is immortal. Eventually the thread will expire. Most of the conversations that I'm subscribed to have expired.
The "Nothing at All" thread is different, as you seem strangely eager to hasten its demise. Nobody else around here worries about their journals' length like that. So, we always end up wanting what we can't have. If you say, "Don't post," that just draws attention so that we feel that we *have* to post.
This is a really neat entry :-)

Hi Paul, I eventually tried saying nothing much for a couple of hundred postings but it still didn't die. I'm not out of ideas though.

Since I foolishly agreed not to post in *that* journal entry any more, I have to answer your posts here instead...
No, No, no is now past 60,000 posts... on it's way to 61,000 as we speak.
And the longest journal entry honor is thus far held by Galaxy Babe... lemme find a link for you... F43348?thread=151305 currently with 3507 posts, so it would appear you have a ways to do before Nothing at All outdoes that one.

But I don't want it to outdo anything. NoNoNo is 60,000 posts of absolute tosh for the most part and I have no interest in it and AGB is welcome to her journal ..... I'm sure posters there do it with her support and acceptance.
This is not a plot to get the biggest journal entry ever. I want it to die and I want it to die now. I don't ever want to see a "Nothing at All" appear on my uspace ever again. I want it to be buried and forgotten. It has outlived it's natural span and has become a monster. Let it go say and let it become an ex-journal entry. The only thing I care about is it's demise. In all seriousness I will be very very happy when it goes quiet.

Well, I have now unsubscribed from it. That leaves Saturn Girl and Apollo and a few others.
Lady Scott, I don't see you much any more, and I miss you.
I notice that you still visit "No no no," but my home computer freezes up when I visit that thread because of its bandwidth.

Paul, I read your last entry on the Nothing At All thread and I've no wish to make you feel more guilty now than you have been over the two years I've been trying to kill off this thread. I think I've been pretty consistent in expressing my desires and intentions.
I'd rather you didn't feel bad about yourself - that wasn't my intention - and you have no reason to feel anymore guilty than I have.

Paul, I haven't been on hootoo all that much lately... Then again, I guess I've been on here about as much as usual, we just don't drop by the same threads as much. Sometimes things get kind of slow on here so I stick to the threads where I have something to say, or where things are more active, and even then it doesn't necessarily mean I'll post much.
Things being relatively quiet on here is probably one reason why RD's journal entry refuses to die... it's someplace you can post while you're waiting for people to answer other convos , but then that just sparks more interest in the thing, and even RD gets in on it by begging them to stop.
3N is mostly just for fun... I was just pointing out how many postings were on it now since those who are keeping your journal entry going are so far behind the times on it.
And yes, I know there's no competition for the most postings to a journal entry, I was just pointing out GB's journal entry because if Apollo and Saturn Girl think they're going to take it to some kind of record, they have quite a ways to go.
Red Dog, frankly I don't know why it bothers you so much that the journal entry won't die... I could understand if you'd posted something highly personal or a tirade in that journal entry that was an embarassment to you later on, but it was nothing at all like that. However, I'm happy to stay away if it makes you feel better.
