A B-) Movie??!???

Agreed. The last thing you want are actors appearing in sequels looking jowly and greyer when the storyline is supposed to have moved on by only a few months/years.

Or the reverse. In Manon des Sources, the story is meant to have moved on ten years but the actors (except for about 2) have not changed.

Isn't roadkill a kind of collective noun for things that get squished by cars? Hence 'road' and 'kill'? In the UK it's usually only hedgehogs and rabbits and stuff but in the States it can get quite gruesome - one of my friends had to sit through her parents' road trip home video thing that was full of shots of the interesting wildlife they had seen plastered across the asphalt

mr Beeblebrox
sorry i have come in super late but who (the real mystery in lotr) was cut away from two towers?
i think if you look at two towers from the book point of view, it is disappointing but it works simply as an action film no?

I think the worst boof based films were definately Harry Potter. If that was any worse I would've blown up the cinema. I hate films where they choose people because they look right not because they can act.

Blowing up a cinema just because you didn't like a movie? That's a bit extreme isn't it?smiley - erm

Roadkill is indeed dead things plastered across the road. There are whole sites dedicated to it. I bet. Not that I would know, of course smiley - flustered.

No really. I liked the sound of the name, so I called myself it. Yes, before I knew what it meant. I am young and foolish.

smiley - biggrin

Took me a while to catch on.

Actually, can anyone tell me what do:

Facetious
Flippant
Idiosyncratic

mean? I use them all the time, and when asked three words to describe me, someone said those three, but I don't actually know what they mean smiley - flusteredsmiley - erm.

Mr. Carrot

Well, facetious, I think, means something like funny/humorous, but in a very tense way, like it's not neccesarily yourself, but it could also just mean funny..

Flippant means that you are glib and disrespectful, I think,
and I don't know what idiosyncratic means...

It seems to me that that someone might not have been overly nice/positive when they told you this, or perhaps they're just joking with you, and are looking to see how long it takes before you realise what you are saying??? smiley - tongueout

As for roadkill, I have no problem with that nick, it's kinda coolsmiley - biggrin, but my reason for this is related to the norwegian comedian Christoffer Schaug... I'm not sure if I should tell you anymore about that sketch, let's just say that the guys in XLTV did come before jackass, but that they do have the same kind of humour, only a little lighter... And they did a lot of funny things with microwave ovens, and objects you really shouldn't put in theresmiley - tongueout...

They may have been joking around with me, I'm not sure. Apparently I'm flippant all the time, but I never notice it. I used to think it was something to do with acrobatics....

The tone of voice was right for a joke, so I took it in good spirit.

I have no desire to ever be put in a microwave oven. I'm going to dream about that tonight, you know...

Sorry... that's not what they did to the poor badger who'd been squished against the road though, that story involves a freezer, some 20 kilos of blueberries, and a VERY large and nifty piece of pyrotechnics (i.e. a new-years rocket)... Nothing for the weaker minds...
But a lot of innocent objects, like lightbulbs and the sorts went into the microwave... Oh well, It's been a long time since I watched any of their stunts, and I'm not sure if I would enjoy any of it today...

Though, i suppose they might have put some roadkill in a microwave... Sweet dreams...

Id rather have dreams about getting squashed in a cave than dreams about falling with a parachute.

I don't know. I think that I am that sort of person that, would the sights after having screamed in terror and soiled myself. And it would certainly be instantly fatal, and so fast you wouldn't know it.

Well, it's long, slow, and painful. And you know exactly what's happening, and you torture yourself with hopes of rescue.

Torture is good. Rescue is also good. Its a good life.
