I posted two votes two hours ago, before going out. They're not in the list of messages and the three post I made between 15 and 5 minutes ago aren't showing either.

I can't even get on the Yahoo! group now. And a couple of emails I sent haven't gotten to my inbox.
But a small delay is no problem. If they show up after the deadline, we can sort that out.

By the way I did say hello to you in California. That was one of the posts that went missing.

I sent Jimster a gem. Could only find one. I sent it early because of the Bank Holiday - I hope he got it. Official archives are up to date to last Thursday by the way, which is great.

We get this in the Community Artists group all the time. If you send a post by email, usually it shows up on the Messages list straight away but sometimes it won't show up for several hours and we don't know why this happens.

There doesn't seem to be a pattern although it's worse at busy times of day and it might be related to the amount of traffic going through the group in a 24 hour period.

To add to the delays, even once a message is on the list, it might not get sent out to those opting for emails for several more hours.

We've got used to it but then, although we're always up against it deadline-wise, the messages themselves tend not to be too time critical.

Thanks Amy, guess I shouldn't leave my voting 'til two hours before the midnight deadline.

All the posts eventually showed up and I thought the 4.51am time on the message for my second vote showed enormous, just enormous, commitment to the UnderGuide.

You got me Jodan , I don't know now if you're taking that 4.51 time seriously or not.

The only time I'm up at that time is when there's an early flight to catch.

Today yahoo duplicated a message.

I think that would get me up too but it hasn't yet been put to the trial. I might just freeze, or play dead...

so they'd think it a waste of a good bullet and just go away.
