'Screw' in the sense Greebo was using it means - ahem - having sexual relations with someone - in the UK anyway!

The number varies, depending on which fans you choose, because the Harry Potter books are so good, they create fans of all kinds!

i don't get Greebs joke, taking it in al the different meanings of screw possible, none of them seem to make the joke make sense.

Spook, "in a lightbulb" describes the location in which the screwing takes place, so the two fans have to be very small.

i see the joke bit now, although i don't find it a particularly funny joke. the best lightulb jokes taking screwing in 'sexual' terms involve 'how many ... does it take to screw a lightbulb' withoutthe 'in' between 'screw' and 'a'.

i don't think Greebs has the effect sicne the sounding of the question doesn't sound right, although the format of the question on this occasion is probably the best you could get for the joke.

Hmm, the problem seems to be cropping up again.
It seems to do that posting difficulty thing at least once a day for the past three weeks.

Why would anyone want to screw a lightbulb - surely they are inanimate objects with no obvious openings?

I think the 'in' is essential to the joke in order to indicate the place the 'screwing' is taking place - or is it just me?
I've spent too long with men from Rugby clubs obviously!

Wouldn't it also be either too hot and bright or too cold and dark to screw inside a light bulb? And isn't the lack of oxygen a problem?

Maybe the dimmer switch is turned VERY low so all they get is merely warm. And they got SCUBA gear.
