Hi my dear friends,
Thank you for the birthday wishes,
Actually I am going to be 77 tomorrow the 23 rd May. Two years ago I had a virtual fancy dress party, but I did not realise that I had to be at the party myself.!! I had 250 messages from all over the world, and it was a wonderful party. I remember that ZSF and Paul H came as the the Blues Brothers. Pandora, my young twin, came as Not the Queen Mother. Someone came as a spider and someone else came as a web. I was terrified they weregoing to meet!!. I was a mermaid with a beautiful new tail which I had had specially made in the USA.
I was busily getting poured down my throat and had to be put to bed. Luverly!!
As a result Pheloxi arranged an extra birthday party for me in the form of a garden party. He has now decided to arrange with LLWaz, a surprise birthday party. I was just going to invite you all round tomorrow, but then I have unfortunately managed to remove myself from the list of researchers. I was in the darkest depression, not being able to contact all of you. Fortunately I managed to get hold of LLWAz by other means, and she has guided me through the network of technological support which I am simply too old to cope with.
Anyway,my s I am still going strong, although slightly more dotty than ususal. I just thank you all for the joy and friendship you have all given me over the last four years of my researcher status.

Happy Birthday my dear AR1!

Shirps, use your imagination:
jumping out of cake that mean there is hollow part in the cake where a person is sitting as surprise.
read the cartoon comic books lucky luck. he shout faster than his shadow.
advice to parent
- let your kids read (cartoon comic) books!
- learn your kids to associate with words and colours
Happy Birthday my dear AR1!

Oh, I remember my part coming as one of the Blues Brothers, complete with hat and shades and the cool dancing! Great fun! You were fashionably late, AR1, if I remember!
Many happy returns for tomorrow!
Happy Birthday my dear AR1!
GenJoanofac Posted May 22, 2005

Fashionably late!! Now you are being extremely diplomatic!

Pheloxi my dear friend,
I hope that it is a chocolate cake. Then I shall jump out and be multicoloured!!
Brilliant idea.
ARe you really going to have 77 candles on it? Perhaps you better organise a wind to come and blow out the candles!!
Thank you and LLWaz so much for the wonderful surprise party. Waz says we can continue it on Tuesday because there is a strike at the BBC tomorrow.
With affection

*after first appearing at the wrong venue (), arrives wearing optional clothing, bringing herself, and a plate*
The delivery men will be here any minute with the 20 foot tall juke box, where should we set it up?
Oh, and by the way, does anyone have a ladder? The buttons on a 20 foot high juke box are kinda out of my reach...
But the *good* news is that *any* music you wish to hear will be available on it!
Happy Birthday my dear AR1!
LL Waz Posted May 22, 2005
Definitely 77 candles. The sparkler kind that relight when you blow them out .
So, these presents then. What do you fancy? A red Ferrari, a space trip - slingshot round the sun and back, a crate of comics, a tiara to shame Joan Collins, a monthly delivery of a dozen guavas, a scent of franjipani, a streetful of flame trees?

Ooh, it looks as though all our postings are being moderated! I wonder why? Something to do with the BBC going on strike, maybe?

Dear Lady Scott,
Thank you so much for arranging for that quite magnificent juke box to cp,e and play our favourite melodies. I was thrilled with all the records of the sixties and espcially Frank Sinatra from the fifties!!. Wonderful
I hope you are enjoying yourself and have found something nice to drink

My very dear
What a wonderful surprise. Thank you so much.
Now what was I taking the tablets for?
Was it to colour my hair red or to run a mile?
Oh dear!
I am really looking forward to the golf.

Have you come across that lovely poem about getting older - the one that ends:
'I love my new bifocals,
my dentures fit me fine,
my hearing aid is perfect,
but Lord, I miss my mind'
