Have you considered also linking to A602939 Scotch Whisky, or A526196 Bourbon? (there is an entry on Jack Daniels, but it is not as general as the other two)
The first gives a decent amount of scottish whisky history and ends with short sections on whiskies from elsewhere in the world, suggesting that 'whisky' is the appropriate spelling to describe bourbon, while 'whiskey' is generally used for N American rye whiskey.

hadn't checked for existence of the bourbon link in the manhattan entry after searching for whisky/whiskey entries - I had been looking for confirmation that whiskey was correct spelling throughout.

I only left that there so that readers can see that I got the inspiration for the entry from somewhere else - one should always give the original entry a plug if one gets the idea from something in the Flea Market. The Sub-ed will remove it if and when this entry is picked
