lol, cheers for the feedback... I was wondering about including the fluff but I wonder would it be too in depth?
Oh and for the spellings, I'm correcting them now...

I've just read through your entry more carefully, and I see you've already mentioned the spinoffs, , my bad...
In the last part of the "how to play"-section, describing panic, isn't "affected" supposed to be spelled with two f's ...it's your language, not mine...
There was one other thing I wanted to say, but it eludes me at the moment...
*glances through entry again*
Oh, now I remember :
This may seem silly if you already feel the entry is a bit long-ish, but otherwise you'd might consider including some examples when you explain the rules. When you're going through the stats, you could include some typical profiles, eg. Human, Elf and Goblin. Maybe a typical lord or monster profile as well, just to exemplify.
Just a thought. As I've stated before, it's already a good entry
Cheers,

actually I added the spinoffs after your comment so it wasn't you noticing it - I didn't remember to say I had!!!!
As to adding the typical stats as you said I might I do kinda wonder if the entry is getting on the long side... do you think it would significantly improve it? If so I'll add them sure but I just wondered.

Hmm... I'm a bit out of touch, reckon I haven't played a single battle for a couple of years now, just the occasional Mordheim skirmishes. I get the newsletter, by the Army Books I think look interesting enough, and listen to other people chatting to stay updated, but I've always found Beastmen to be such a terribly dull race, no variety whatsoever.
Never really fancied Chaos at all, actually. Haven't read any of their new books, but from what I gather, they've just gotten even beardier than in 5th ed.
But I guess high toughness hand-to-hand specialists have never been a Woodie favourite...
But I'm getting sidetracked, back to your entry:
There's no (as far as I recall) "standard" length to an entry, so it's really up to you. And as none of us are neutral observers, you've written the entry, and I already know the game in advance, we are both flawed in our judgements...
I have no idea whether adding profiles or any of the other stuff I've mentioned would make it a better entry, it's just ideas.
Guess you'll just have to use your common sense, but personally I would rather have it too long than too short.
btw. I've just stumbled upon an old EG entry on Blood Bowl, you'd might consider linking to it.

for the Bloodbowl link, I've added that to the entry. As to including profiles I've had an idea. Anyone who has read my article adn is reading this (but doesn't play warhammer) do you think the entry would benefit from including profiles of the races and warhammer world etc?
Now we just have to hope people read that
~Skenvoy
P.S. Bristo why I don't like Beastmen! I don't know if you've heard of it but they now have the "Ambush" special rule which means that part of their army starts the game off the battle field and can come on on any table edge after the first turn (I think a leadership test is needed) so WE archer lines are no longer safe... also they have a rule which means that they skirmish when moving and then rank up in combat getting rank bonus meaning its harder to shoot them. Their fluff also now says that they hate WE's as they want our forest...

As we're just talking generally about the game, I think profiles would be overkill. Maybe see if there is a more generic entry with mention of some fantasy races if people are genuinely confused as to what an Elf is!
I would maybe suggest that you mention the evolution of the game a little. The original version of Warhammer was somewhat like Chainmail (in relation to the original D&D) - it had wargaming, but also emphasized characters to an extent that almost demanded roleplaying.
Later the game became more complex and unwieldy, while the roleplaying element became more powerful, unique figures and roleplaying itself went into the Warhammer Roleplaying Game (funnily enough).
In the last couple of editions the emphasis has been on reducing the mechanics and simplifying the game, including cutting the number of statistics that figures have. The game has been engineered to appeal as much to the newcomer as existing players.
It is also the first game that needed a bucket of dice to play. Still does.
Promising entry otherwise. Keep polishing it...

ok... I'll put a bit in asap... problem is I've only been playing since 5th so my knowledge of previous editions is low... I'll ask on another forum that is dedicated to Warhammer and find out what I can

Under Regiments of Renown, I'm think it should read 'Bands of mercenaries and swords for hire...' instead of 'Sell swords...'.
Any chance I can get assigned this one, Sam, if Skenvoy believes it's ready?

I'd love to say yes... do you think I should add anything on previous editions as someone suggested or not? If you think I should I have some info now so I can add a (brief) section. Otherwise yeah I'd love for it to be accepted and its ready!!!!

Only thing I'd request is the removal of the the and tags around the opening quote and the addition of ... tags around the lists.
Apart from that, it's looking great.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
