A Conversation for The Lair of the No-Thing's
Campaign for Thursday
Thursday Started conversation Nov 22, 2004
Hi there! I've started up a campaign at U1127621, and it would seem that its aims are extremely similar to yours. I propose an alliance against the Thingites.

I'm also trying to get communications going with the TA [A1085546] (they attacked the Thingites a while ago).
Perhaps we could put together a Triple Entente against Thingism?

Anyone about?
The Campaign for Thursday has formed an informal alliance with the Terranic Army
Would you be interested in joining the alliance?

It's not that the Campaign for Thursday is unpopular, it's just that there aren't any No-things around...

Well they say imitation is the greatest form of flattery don't they? So is Thursdayite any better?
I s'pose it does nail one's flag to the mast, so to speak...

The Campaign for Thursday is better than all the rest.
What we lack in numbers (at the moment) we will make up for with perseverance...

I suppose you are in favour of keeping all the other day-names as they are as well
Maybe you could tell me what it is about Thingism that so repulses you?

Well - you are completely at odds with the Weekday and Weekend Rights Convention (A3308636).
And you really do talk complete nonsense some of the time.
And kiwi spoons are much better than sporks.
It's not repulsion - it's a difference of opinion.

Yes Thingites do talk a lot of nonsense - that's half the fun.

Spork olympics? Nah.
Viva la foon.

Sigh, I was merely offering a possible other half of fun for the Thingites in the form of spork olympics.
Foons are the true opposition of the spork and to my delight I found they actually exist on the web. Google it.

Foons *are* sporks...
Spork = Spoon + Fork
Foon = Fork + Spoon
--> Spork = Foon
http://babel.massart.edu/~suebird13/foons.html
>>>Foons - the sporks of the future<<<
is like saying "4-wheeled car type things - the cars of the future"
Try googling "Kiwi Spoon" (with quotes) - they are under-represented, but that's just because they are associated with a healthy food in this, the age of burgers...

Sadly my misinformed friend, foons are NOT just sporks by another name, so dont you go all patronising I would thank you
Anyway despite the lapse in good grammar, true foons resemble sporks with longer tines, and a slightly inverted basin thus you have an object that would actually hurt if you tried to stick it in someone.
Oh they also sometimes have flexible/opposable handles. The reason for this evades me.

Oh how dull...
This is like "a butcher's knife is not a knife 'cos it's bigger and sharper and gives better leverage"

bunnyfrog will never die Posted Nov 26, 2004
Dull? Perhaps. But even with your example the distinction still exists.
