But as I'm discovering on this amusing little thread some folks like to take their politics just alittle too seriously. I'm pretty sure by the way the Aussies really did think helen Clarke was Osama in disguise.

Mmm, *I* can tell you about Dave. His name was 'Captain Dave the Obvious' or something similar, and he was a bit of a prat, though I am sure he meant well. He could be quite hostile sometimes, and didn't often pay much attention to things he didn't want to hear. On some threads, he was a right pain, on another, quite reasonable!

well I hope you realise i do; that's why I have big problems and misunderstandings with people who don't.
I'm off to bed soon but I'll leave you with this thought. If I'm the so called redkneck of this thread why was it that ap called my team Arsenal earlier, faeries. Now that's very pleasant isn't it. Wonder where he's coming from?

I'm generally a bit worried about App. The fact is we're all responsible for him: as such we have to re-integrate him into the fold so to speak.
I'm not sure why App you get so "wowelled up"?.... although in a way I can.
I am aware of MY idiocyncracies and although I can't do the emoticons I do try to self-deprecate when necessary.
You know none of us, especially me, and Dave and Redpeck ( I think) seek to totally trash your arguments. Well Redpeck, yes, perhaps you do.....sink 'em yes, but not trash 'em.
After all you and della represent NZ on these threads and as such your mation deserves fine advocates. Doesn't matter what stance or corner you fight. NZers are not noted for running away and I find this characteristic particularly disturbing.
It is just not cricket for yourselves, for NZ or for h2g2. Indeed I am dissapointed that you should seek to dissapear at the slightest contradiction. None of us are perfect and some of us know it.
At least you have the decency not to talk about me to others while I'm off line on parallel threads. Mind you, you did, but then you stopped.
In conclusion App I welcome your contributions in good part and suggest you expand your tolerance envelope to encompass the views differing to yours.
