Zarquon's Singing Fish! Posted Dec 28, 2003
I think Kea was right when she said that others could find this thread helpful, Terri. Not that anyone is terribly happy about what you are currently going through. I have thought very deeply about some of the issues the thread brought up and I am sure that other will have also.
I know I am so relieved that you are feeling a bit better. I do remember worrying about one of my posts and hoping it hadn't contributed to your feeling worse (where I thought you were feeling a bit more optimistic, and I *couldn't* have been more wrong).
I hope you do come out of this feeling stronger and that you have now turned a corner.
Sending you and light!

Zarquon thanks for posting.
I think all are nervous about posting and doing any harm.
It takes a brave person as all here know
Many have no doubt felt the same things at times.
It is a genuine gift from the heart to post.
It is possibly risky for some.
So Everyone do take care of yourselves also.
Mort I can relate to some of your struggles mentioned.
I have had a log road looking for parents and 10 siblings.
Finding each one was different experience, I still have one to find.
Maybe not this very day but ;
In the furure if you want to talk about it, I would be open.

Hi Terri,
We are digging out from the first major snow storm of the season. Totally lost track of the time. With the time difference it is now close to midnight and I was afraid to call this late. We are still thinking of you. Drop us email with your current account please.

Hi Terri...
Well, I copied down your phone numbers and address when we spoke last week but I don't seem to have brought them home with me. I'll be speaking with him on Tuesday or Wednesday and could get them then but if you're on before then, can you email them to me at belladonna_23 at hotmail dot com?
I see no problem with giving you a call for a half hour or so about once a week, if you're game. It'd have to be on the weekends, as I get home from work well into the wee hours by you.
Hope to talk with you real soon, either live and/or on MSN. Take good care till then.

I am thinking whomever has access to edit this page should maybe post the Good Samaritans link and number up front in the intro for crisis help in a pinch.

I can't remember the password, but I will ask Kripsy tonight if he would post a link over the weekend. I'm not at all familiar with the Good Samaritans.

*waves at psychocandy, abbi & everyone else*
The Samaritans are a phoneline (& i believe now also a website/email service) for people who are feeling suicidal, depressed, terminally lonely etc. They do a fantastic job, i have phoned them on several occasions, usually from abroad & they have always been great. The mere fact that some stranger is willing to be there to listen is often enough to persuade someone that caring DOES exist & that the world is not totally populated by sh***y people! They are totally non-judgemental, will not try & talk someone out of suicide if that is their choice, but will offer support & LISTEN.
The phone number in UK is:
(0044) (0) 8457 909 090
They have probably saved more lives than people realise. If i ever had any money to leave in my will, i would probably give it to this lot, or maybe them & HAVOCA (Helping Adult Victims Of Child Abuse)

It is worth noting that the email option is an anonymous person called Jo. All Samaritan volunteers use this name to reply, however if you have contacted them via email then they will usually try to use the same volunteer to reply to you if possible, should you contact them again. It can also take up to 24 hours for an email response, so if you are in an immediate crisis situation then I would recommend phoning rather than emailing.

I suspect it was moderated as spam (i didn't yikes it though!!) I think it has been posted in alot of places on site - I got one on my space as i have spoken to Lone Ranger. So I assume others have too.
But that is just my guess.
