Raymond wondered casually why no one had asked him to read it.

Of course, he was thinking this from the top of a grate...

A very rusty grate, with very little structural support.

And gravity doesn't like anyone...

Especially people standing on rusty grates.

Gravity was enjoying the suspense but then the inevitable happened...

Raymod stepped off the grate.

'Cause no-one is THAT stupid.

By this point the letter was very unread, despite its colour, and Janet was beginning to get a little frustrated.

Over and over in her head she could hear 'Read me... Reeeeeeeead me...'

Eventually she decided it would probably be so much simpler if she read the letter herself.

She read yet it was difficult to do so while Oddy was whispering into her ear 'Read me. Reeeeeeeeeeead me.'

She casually swatted Oddy down from her shoulder, and got on with it.

A muffled yelp was heard through the wall which continued downwards until it hit the floor, causing Raymond to pile out into a heap...

Oddy fell into Raymond, knocking them both backwatds onto..a rusty grate.

Unfortunately Architects around here weren't that good and this second grate was also rusty...

It broke away easily under Raymond's weight..(and Oddy's too, but small furry aliens don't weigh all that much).

X2 sighed and began to read his special book with lift-up flaps.

"'R' is for rope" the book suggested.

He couldn't read that but when he pulled the little tab, a picture of X2 dropping a rope down through a rusty, broken grate to Raymond and oddy was helpful...
