It's that time of year when small (and not so small) children around the globe dress up and begin terrorising the neighbourhood. This is also known as 'trick or treating', and can be a lot of fun for adults and children. While it's a bigger tradition in some countries than other, many cultures commemorate this time of year in some way. For Catholics it is All Hallows Eve1, the day before they honour their saints. It is also the last day of the year for pagans, and the last of the harvest festivals. Mexican and other Latin cultures celebrate the 'Day of the Dead'.
We'd like to know the different ways that you celebrate this time of the year. Do you put out the fires to keep spirits away, or give treats to the local children knocking at your door? We're also interested in hearing ghost stories, spooky happenings and things that go bump in the night.
What do you do to mark this time of year?
Are you, or any of your family getting involved in Trick or Treating?
Have you carved a jack o' lantern, and if so, where have you put it?
Have you seen a ghost?
How do you explain the creaking of the stairs after midnight when you're all in bed?
What are your favourite movies for this time of year?
Are you having a Halloween party, and can we come please?
