A Conversation for How to Season a Wok
Non-stick

To replace our previous wok we bought a "non-stick" coated one. After just a few weeks the coating started coming off during cooking and left little black bits. With some perhaps over vigorous scouring the coating started coming off in quite large quantities. After a few weeks most had come off and it was actually better to cook in, the metal being a smoother surface that the original. The only thing I have to beware off is cleaning off a little rust after machine washing it.
Down with "non-stick" coating!
