Nice article - I enjoyed it. I have heard that `Virtuous Circles` are the opposite of vicious ones and `Deja Brew` is the feeling that you have had a drink before

Thank you all
I promise to do my best
As to the virtuous circle... yes it *does* exist. I just stumbled over a posting from Paul H, written when this piece was featured by the Post (as A596766):
...The term "Virtuous circle" was coined about 4 years ago to indicate a situation in which one good thing leads to another. My information comes from a website called "The Word Spy," which uses "virtuous circle" in the context of an article in "The Economist." When a country's economy grows fast, more wealth is generated, so people's savings grow even if they don't cut consumption.
With savings at higher levels, investment and growth rise, leading to
a virtuous circle.
'deja brew' heeehee I'll try that one now!
Congratulations

Rags-to-riches, and Pygmalion, are virtuous circle styles of fiction.
Certain biological (enzyme vs hormone are the kinds I am thinking of, but the immune system seems to have its own set) processes rely on a self reinforcing positive feedback loops, and are called cascades.
Inorganically, is a catalyst acting as a virtuous circle for the particular reaction it fosters?

Thank you Sir Bossel. But my examples embarass us in that there is no one vocabulary word that means 'the opposite of a viscious circle' in general. The coinage virtuous circle may have to stick.
Key: Complain about this post
