Even after the sub-editing proces there are still some typo's left.
The capital of Friesland is Leeuwarden.
Hertogenbosch should be 's Hertogenbosch, same with 's Gravenhage.
The airport is called Schiphol.
By the way, I personally will not be offended if The Netherlands are called Holland. I often use it in other countries, because then people will know where I come from, and in a lot of languages The Netherlands are called by their own version of Holland, like Ollanda (Italian) or Olanda(Spanish). Postcards to Holland will allways arrive.
Funny, isn't it, The Netherlands is plural, Nederland is singular.

wierd world aint it.
These are of of many mistakes that sneaked in. I didn'y read the edited version too well obviously. And the english editor must have thought that " 's " was a typo

On the risk of being really annoying about exact spelling:
's-Hertogenbosch and 's-Gravenhage is the correct spelling.
The '-' should be there.
cheers!
But it's wonderfull that the Netherlands has become an edited entry.

I'm heading to the Netherlands/ Holland soon for a weekend. Can anyone tell me anything about Bergen op Zoom?

I think you need to be a bit more specific about what you want to do.
A search engine will give you about every shop and club in the city.

OK, I'll be there with my 2 children, aged 8 and 10, for a dance competition. I'd like to know some brief details about the town itself, with maybe a couple of "must-see" items. Not terribly interested in clubs or shops.
I've tried a web search but as I don't speak Dutch it's hard to interpret the results! Is there a town web-site?

Luckystar,
the website with the english page of the tourist office is http://www.bergsnet.com/vvvboz.htm
It contains also their e-mail adres for specific questions.
If you have a whole spare day a nice place to go is the attractionpark "Efteling" between Waalwijk and Tilburg.

Normally your hotel can also give a lot of information.

Thank you so much - just what I needed! The theme park looks fab, will definitely try to visit. We've just spent Easter weekend at Disney Paris, so it will be interesting to compare....

Good article.
A better analogy for the Netherlands being referred to as Holland is Great Britain being referred to as England. As a Welsh man I find this offensive. English people tend not to find it offensive. I wonder why?
