A Conversation for Blue Eyes

Downside?

In today's press they say that using a sunlamp or sunbed is to be classed as dangerous as smoking, breathing asbstos or sniffing benzine. One of the particular cancers they mentioned was a rare eye cancer. I didn't see if it was more likely to be in blue eyes but I would guess that as many people with darker skins wouldn't use a tanning lamp that a higher preponderance of this cancer would be in blue eyed people.

I wonder if brown eyed people have a resistance to it?

I don't know about that Vestboy, but both my blue eyed parents have had cataracts ( successfully) removed. In their youth good sunglasses were not so readily available - nowadays I make sure I always have a good pair of really dark glasses for bright sun, and those sort that change shades for less bright days.

Noooooo! I meant half way between the two shades smiley - silly although I have met people with one eye a different colour than the other.

Some of the women in my family have blue eyes with a distinctive darker ring around the edge of the iris.

Blue eyes are more sensitive to light so I suppose they would be easier to get a rare eye cancer.
