A Conversation for The Cult - the Band

I saw The Cult live a few times (the first time must have been around the release of their second album, at the 1st Belgian Futurama festival, now sadly defunct, which always had a very eclectic bill: I still remember that year not only had The Cult, but also Fad Gadget, The Virgin Prunes, SPK, The Sisters Of Mercy, ClockDVA, etc.) and I liked the psychedelic influences quite a lot.
I always love it when people (or bands) don't comply to the (current) norm, and The Cult certainly weren't NORM-al...

I never got to see them live but have made up for it since by purchasing pretty much everything they've ever done.

's can sometimes be cured by visiting my (newly opened) Cabinet.
The Cabinet of Dr. Kareem is at http://www.h2g2.com/A509528.
In the meantime, if I hear about any Cult-bootleg, I'll ask to tape it (taping bootlegs is completely legal!).

And file-sharing is kinda iffy legally, morally, ethically ..and yet musically it makes so much sense. Feel free to send samples of anything you think a Hendrix/Dylan/AnnieLennox/Blues/HollyCole fan might enjoy. It has to be solid musically, no soda pop bubble gum screamin punk or disco crap. Good music, well played and if it has lyrics please let them say something intelligent.

Musically, I always believed music should be heard by as many people as possible.
Musicians who only want to make money out of their music should become lawyers and not call themselves artists anymore. (Did you hear me, M*t*l***a ?)
As for myself, my music is available on cd, but it's also available as a free mp3-downloads, by my own wish.
If I like something in mp3-format, I usually buy the cd afterwards anyway, and I think most people do this...
