Well, there are pros and cons. I'll give one of each.
Pro: Everyone gets hungry on the job. Why not take a quick break between epic battles against evil?
Con: Superhero costumes are notoriously hard to miss. Everyone within 100 feet or more will be instantly upon you, begging for an autograph or something.
Given that signing your name 2000 times gets really annoying, I'd say that the con outweighs the pro, and that you're right.

Exactly. Though you have a point -- I mean, you really don't want to fight crime on a full stomach, think of the cramps!

Guy Gardner and Tora (ice maiden) went out eating in one of the ole JLA issues. And Ted Kord (Blue Beetle) has also been seen eating. (Actually he gained about 20-25 pounds and (because of that) got into a fight with Guy Gardner.)
BTW: My superpower is that of speed reading.
