Hi vectusian, I do not know who it was in my family, but it was on my father's side. She was a domesitic I believe at the mmanor. So the story goes she was handed an envolope and told to look after it.
I don't what the time span was, but someone came to her asking for this envolope and the sad end to the story was she had had a spring clean
and must have burn't. It would appear that, that envolope contain the deeds to the manor. This is a true story, and reflexs on the way things just do not happen for me.
