I always liked it there - I lived in Sandown, about half a mile away, but it was always a very quiet, peaceful place to visit, and I walked there a lot, especially with my Granddad.
Not a lot there, but with beach, cliffs and all, it was a beautiful place.

It has always been my opinion that, in the life of humankind....less is usually better! The old acronymn KISS comes to mind.
For peace of mind and true happiness....metro areas don't work! The closer one can get to the simple things, the more one understands his place in this world.....and the more one understands that, the more one can see that life doesn't have to be that stressful.
The main questions are..."Is there food....is there shelter....is there fellowship?". These are all you need. Anything else is truly "unecessary baggage"!

There's shelter and fellowship - but no food. There aren't any shops in Yaverland.
