And just over Culver Down is Whitecliffe Bay, where the best breakfasts available on a beach in Britain (that I have tried, anyway) are sold. A good enough reason to wear sunglasses, even if it is grey and cold.

So, DreamRaven, did you stay there once?
Or are you from the Island yourself?

Yes I have stayed on the Isle a few times, all within the confines of Whitecliffe Bay caravan park, which is very high on my list of good camping/caravanning site. I have driven through Yaverland a number of times on my motorcycle, but confess to not stopping or even taking much notice. Next time I shall.

Well, next time you do, look around.
It's quite a nice place. I grew up in Sandown, and I often walked there to think etc.
