Curiously enough, I'm listening to Black Sabbath right now.
And nearly bought a Kiss album today.

(Dame Edna/Barry Humphries......hmmmmm never see them in the same room do you?)
Personally I think bunnies are cute, and I like Watership Down, but it wouldn't stop me from eating a live one.
I liked Babe but I'd still gnaw through a pigs Belly and eat out its spleen just to hear the squealings and th....
I'll get me coat.

I wonder what chipmunk tastes like?

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Feb 27, 2000
I know kangaroo tastes bad, but it's been so long (3 1/2 years) I think I'd eat it again.

You, know that us vegans will inherit the earth when all you omnivores have died off because of all the nasty horrible diseases that are being spread via meat nowadays..... I've already insured my husband for thousands - heh, heh! *Gives evil grin...* Any meat eating (humans) that are left will be sent to work on sewage works! So there! *Sticks out tongue and blows a huge raspberry!*

I wish it were possible to import presidents here in the USA (our constitution says presidents have to be born on American soil). I would vote for Edna in a heartbeat over this year's offerings. We have Al Gore (major weenie) and Bill Bradley (all the zest of mashed potatoes) competing for the Republicrat nomination. Over on the Demican side we have George Bush (the sequel) running against John McCain (a man who under the spotlight really cannot decide what, if anything, he stands for).
If we could rid ourselves of species bias I would vote for Babe for president.
Or the Easter Bunny (nod to the topic.)
But eating the innards of a squealing piglet? Eeeeeeewwwwwww.
Oh, for what it is worth I watched the movie Babe with my pet pot-bellied pig Wilbur burrowed into the couch behind me. It was almost (but not quite) enough for me to swear off pork.
No matter how much he begged I could never bring myself to give Wilbur table scraps from meals involving pork. I was certain somehow that it was wrong. I ended up sending Wilbur out to live a quiet life as a child's pet on a farm, just so I could eat roast pork without feeling guilty.

Don't worry Gwennie, my friends have predicted I'll have a corony before I'm 30. And what with the riguors that'll come with being in a band, I guess my lifestyle will be the death of me!
Sid Vicious for Prime Minister!
I wish...

I think we get as much coverate of the US Presidency hopefuls here in the UK as you get in the US!
That's a shame about having to be a US citizen before being able to be President, as we've this excellent chap in London who should be mayor but may not get the position... We could always export our "Ken" (Livingstone) to you... *Giggles insanely* Ken Livingstone for President of the U.S. - *another mad giggle*
Mike - where do you want your wreath sent as I may as well do it now as you think your early demise is inevitable!
BTW - do you like punk stuff? Ever heard of an 80's group called "The Lurkers"?

Gwennie-I just have two Sex Pistols albums, suppose I'm just a part-time punk. Interested in checking out The Damned though.
Never heard of those dudes, sorry.
Just send the wreath to the bandwagon and the roadies will pick it up. . Just kidding...keep it and email me and electronic wreath when I die please.

Oh, to revert to topic, Watership Down IS one of my favorite books. I have the "Tales from Watership Down" paperback around here somewhere. It doesn't really profane the original, neither is it necessary.
Bigwig was always my favorite character, or Strawberry.
I would like Johnny Rotten for president. I saw PIL in concert once, Johnny Rotten is sort of like a punk Frank Sinatra. A wonderful entertainer, very acerbic.
Believe it or not last night he did a political talk show here in the US (I missed it, a friend told me about it.) If he were a REAL friend he would have taped it for me.
Ah well, this is life.
My favorite word from WD is "hrududu".
Gesundheit.

Gosh! Back on topic!
Glad you enjoyed the book High Duke of Mars (do you get rabbits on Mars, then or have I got the wrong end of the stick and you're a Mars Bar addict!)

I thought Tales From... was great for expanding everything, basically feeding my insatiable demand for WD stories!
I've heard from the WD mailing list that Richard Adams might have had Hyzenthlay appointed cheif rabbit because of all the 90s feminism and that. Remember, he has been accused of trying to create a fcist society with this book...

I was appointed to the order of the noble Glrm, High Duke of Mars, at the stroke of 2:07 PM, Martian Polar Standard Time, Orbit 12,301 by Her Imperial Majesty Steve.
I traveled to Earth and now act on behalf of Her Majesty's interests, which include the banishment of She Who Must not Be Named, the rise to power of the Oppressed Garden Vole, and the destruction of the Evil One whom you call Brittany Spears.
My other interests include hiking, cooking, fishing, computers, and fantasy literature. Thanks for asking.

P.S. As for rabbits, they tend to not agree with our atmosphere. We tried introducing them several orbits ago -- they just take a few hops and explode. Life is difficult at 6 millibars.
