15 is Monty Python too--the PLF/LFP/FLP/whatever in Life of Brian, probably Eric Idle speaking.
11, 28, and 40 sound hauntingly familiar, the last I think comes from MIB, but I'm too uncertain to even offer.
Some confirmation would be good.

Infinite Improbability Posted Aug 27, 2001
You got most of them right, but there are no Aliens or MIB quotes in there. If you are dying to know a particular quote, post it, I don't have the time to post every speaker right now.

40 is Zaphod Beeblebrox, from the radio series, telling the assembled diners the purpose of Marvin's phone call.

OK...how about this crop?
1: "Adventure, excitement...a jedi craves not these things"
(careful with that, there are two answers).
2: "Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken".
3: "Oh, now you're being rude and you know I don't like rude people."
4: "I have become the monster you were intended to be."
5: "My plan was to kiss her with every lip on my face".
6: "You have to get me out of here before they kill me again."

OK, I'm in total quote overload! Some of the ones in the long list I've seen elsewhere on H2G2 and I seem to remember that the answers were all posted there, too. Now if I could just remember where it was...
My "For why, Keats, for why" was indeed from The Italian Job, spoken by Noel Cowards character Mr Bridger, when his flunky Keats gives him a copy of (I think) the Evening News. The next line is "There's a picture of the Queen in it, sir". Obviously, that wasn't as easy as I thought.
Most of these latest six from Gradient seem familiar, but not really enough for me to have a guess, I don't think, although I think number five must be a Philip Marlowe one - but which actor and which film, I have no idea.
Is number six from "Dead Again", the Kenneth Branagh / Emma Thompson thing, where they've both lived previous lives and ended up dying by each other's hand? If not, then I'm stumped.
Just to keep things bubbling along, here's another from the Wolfie collection:
"Here's the plan. When we get to the pass, we'll put on our fish costumes and I'll pass out the vaseline and an extra ration of rum for the men. That should do it!"
Cheers

Hmmmm...
One of the times #1 was said was Yoda to Luke in Empire Strikes Back.
In contrast to Wolfie's answer, I think #6 is Dennis Quaid in DOA, probably to Meg Ryan.
#5 sounds familiar, and could be a Groucho quote, but I can't place it.

Nice quote, Wolfie!
I suspect Mel Brooks' hand, possibly Blazing Saddles, but also possible Men in Tights. Not sure, however.

The fish costumes and the vaseline comes from "Convoy". The speaker is Kris Kristofersson (I think that's how you spell it).
Wolfie - nope, no Kenny Branagh quotes in that whole list. Nor any from Philip Marlow.
#1 was a rare Silent Bob quote from "Mallrats" but yeah, Yoda says it too.

I now remember the the Silent Bob quote!
Is #5 from Dumb and Dumber, perhaps Jim Carrey?

Nope, not even close.
#5 is narration. If I mentioned that one of the running gags in the movie featured a tieless Philip Marlowe, would that help?

So that would be Steve Martin in Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, then (probably). Which would explain why I thought it sounded like a Philip Marlowe quote.
Don't know the rest yet though.

But I've just discovered that 15 is not from Monty Python. It's actually from Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy (probably the TV series in this context, althoughg I've just read it in the book (again)).

I believe that number three is from Hannibal, but the rest are a mystery. Do I detect a little Frankenstein? Or is that too obvious?
Quotes - Who said them?
Dark Side of the Goon Posted Sep 3, 2001
I'll post the answers:
1: Silent Bob from "Mallrats" (or Yoda).
2: Tyler Durden from "Fightclub".
3: Hannibal Lectur from "Hannibal".
4: Mister Hand from "Dark City".
5: was indeed from Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. Excellent film. Cup of Java, anyone?
6: reveals me to be the sad fanboy that I am - The Doctor, from "The Crap Movie With the Pertwee Logo". Also known as "The Enemy Within".

Nice collection. I loved Dark City, and yet can't place the quote.
Dead men don't wear Plaid is one of the great under-rated movies of our time. Not only funny (in Steve Martin's unique way) but extremely clever scripting to bring the original film snippets in. I also loved the bit:
Bad Guy: You cannot keep seeing my daughter.
Martin: Does that mean I can't use her underwear to make soup?
Here's one for you to try:
"...and I have a scorching case of Herpes."

That's probably from 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off', although I remember the line being slightly different.
Quotes - Who said them?
Roundley The Terminator Posted Sep 11, 2001
It is from Ferris Bueller. Jennifer Grey (Ferris' Sister) broadcasts to the burgler in her house (her school principal) that she had called the cops and that they should know she had a scorching case of herpes...at least that's how I remember it.

Hi gang. As no-one has posted for a few days (quite understandable really - trivia isn't really a priority at times like these), I thought I'd throw this (appropriate) one in for you:
"It isn't easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache."
Cheers
