I will be going to Venice in the near future (arriving at Marco Polo) and would welcome advice on which is the best side of the plane to sit so as to get views of Venice as you come in to land

I think it depends which way the wind is blowing - but on the basis of having landed at Venice Marco Polo at least once a year since 1997, my instinctive memory tells me the better views have been on the right-hand side of the plane. But that's just instinct - I could be wrong!
