if you ever come to germany, dont forget to stop over at the "limericks" in paderborn. they sell the best guiness you can get in the BRD... dont hesitate when entering the club - its not as bad as it looks like. its worse. but you´ll love it ( i do!).

In my opinion the best Guinness in Germany is served in the Thomas Read in Hamburg right off the Reeperbahn!!!
Plus the pub itself is absolutely fantastic!!! They have the best live music I have ever heard in a pub!!!
So if you ever come to Hamburg....go there and enjoy your Guinness & great music!!!

By the way, before I forget....If you ever get the chance to go to Germany don't forget to have a pint at Limerick's in Dortmund!!!

someone told me that limerick´s is a chain (?) of five or something pubs all over northern germany, so it might be that the one you know in dortmund is one of them. i also heard that the others (not the paderborn one) are really nice, clean and whatsoever. but the one in PB really is NOT... perhaps ask the staff, I´d like to hear what they know about "my" pub. (perhaps they know something about this famous christmas party for limerick - staff - members??)

you're right, the Limerick's in Dortmund is really clean if you don't take a look at the jacks...
They are ugly!!!
The next time I'm there (might be Friday...) I'm gonna ask the staff for the "branch" in PB...
I'll let u know what they had to say about it!

I cannot say that I have been to any of these "Limerick" places, but in the Slattery's in Oldenburg (Lowersachsony) you are served a pint you'll never forget, even though thousands will follow. On nights with good live music you can laugh about a staff having a hell of a party and serving you within seconds at the same time, it's really good craig!
