Portadown!!!
It's a conflict, a real conflict, going on for about 800 years. The wounds are deep on both sides and hatred is everywhere. That is one argumentation brought up by many people in Northern Ireland.
You accept this argumentation or you do not accept it, but you can certainly discuss it by going into the details of history and policy of this conflict.
But there is certainly no excuse for the behaviour of the members of the Orange Order and the people gathering around them in Belfast and Portadown. They are marching to celebrate a victory which is hundreds of years ago, using "tradition" as an excuse to inflame the conflict again. It's a shame, how these people kick the politicians efforts with their feet.
