Grasshoppers climbing up a hill? I need to watch that tonight.

I love the spider. 'He'd never killed a puppet that big before.'

I also like the growling snakes.

I can't quote from Cave Dwellers as much as other episodes, because I haven't owned it that long. Just give me some time. smiley - winkeye

Not only were they growling, but anal-retentive as well (remember the skulls in rows?) Speaking of giant spiders, did anyone else see them do "The Giant Spider Invasion". It wasn't one of the best episodes, but the movie they are making fun of is truly horrible.

I haven't seen it. What era is it from?

I have seen one called something like Horrors of Spider Island. It's a Sci-Fi episode. I have it on tape somewhere, and am distressed because I can't find it. smiley - sadface

I have that one too, although the sound is really poor on mine. Giant Spider Invasion is a different one though, about spiders from space *shrug* It was fairly recent, I'd say....within the last year of the cancellation. What were the people who made these movies thinking??

Especially when they cast that disgusting guy who looks like the guy from Spin Doctors smiley - smiley

Beginning of the End is a personal favorite of mine because I'm from Chicago originally and went to school in Urbana, which was supposedly close to the town that the grasshoppers started in. I really enjoyed the fact that they kept showing mountains in the background, despite the fact that the location was supposed to be central Illinois.

Giant Spider Invasion had Alan Hale of Gilligan's Island fame in it. The gang really stuck it to him in the movie if I remember correctly. I just got "Poopie!" from amazon.com
Pretty funny but definitely way to short. It was funny to see the people staying in character. And you could really see that they were just plain funny people.

When I read Siguy's post yesterday, I just had to watch "Poopie!". So, I did, about five times (it is too short). I love watching that tape, mainly because Joel is so cute. smiley - winkeye

I love how they stay in character, like when they're sunbathing and Joel's all 'what's wrong Crow?'. And when the bots mess up they keep on talking as the bots, especially Kevin.

They have at least one more outtakes video, I think two. I think you can get them from the Sattelite News website.

yeah they have Poopie 2 but ordering from them is a lot more difficult than amazon.com
There were some really great lines in Poopie. Like as Joel practices hugging Servo Crow does a funny voice and says "Now how about some sugar for crow?"
Those guys really crack me up, and the mads really seemed to screw up a lot. another great thing was when a piece of background would just fall off.

I love the two outtakes from 'Super Freak-Out', when Gypsy knocks over the box and everyone screams 'spider!' and when Joel isn't freaking out.

I remember seeing the episode with Super Freak-Out when I was younger. I can't remember what movie is on there though.

I wish I had been able to understand the show back then. I missed so many jokes because of my age, I know I would've appreciated it more and seen more episodes. Ohh, I am getting depressed, now quickly change the subject to something cheerful or I don't know what I may do.

Don't be sad! You can't be sad, if you know about the love a guy and two robots can share. It is a beautiful thing. smiley - smiley

I'm watching The Movie right now and I'm referring to the part at the beginning where Crow is trying to tunnel to earth, and Servo gets sucked away from Mike, and says 'I love you Mike!' and Mike screams out 'Servoooooo!'. I meant what I said up there about it being a beautiful thing.

But, I just thought of something else. In the Space Munity episode when Tom and Crow are dog-fighting in the escape shuttles (or whatever they are) and they're crashing and Servo yells 'I love you Crow!' and Crow just yells 'I very fond of you Servo!'. It seems to me that Servo is better at communicating his feelings.

How old are you, Siguy? And does anyone know off the top of their head when MST3K first aired on Comedy Central?

sorry, don't give out personal info on net, just my basic policy.
Well I probably could find the date but don't have patience.
I know that last KTMA episode aired: 5/28/89
and the last episode of the first comedy central season was: 2/13/90
I used these dates to write some somewhat funny stuff at this link
http://members.xoom.com/_XMCM/msties/rants/dates.htm
It is one of the few pieces of original content on my site.

Then I was at least twelve the first time I saw MST3K. I was just curious as to how old you were when you couldn't understand the jokes. I respect your choice to not say though. It's good to have standards.

I barely ever got to watch it in those days though. We didn't have Comedy Central in OK, so the only times I saw it was at my grandmother's house in TX. So, I only got to watch it on holidays. smiley - sadface And, it had already been cancelled when we finally did get Comedy Central here (you'll rue the day you dropped MST3K comedy central! smiley - winkeye ) You can imagine how excited I was when Sci-Fi picked it up. But, I don't even think that we had Sci-Fi on our cable (meaning at my house) at the time. But, I was excited none the less. My friend still has a collage that I made that has a picture of Crow hooked up to an IV with oil going through it. smiley - smiley

I read it when I checked out your site. I thought that I said that I already had earlier, but upon a second look I see that I didn't. I read it again anyway.

I liked it. I thought it was real funny and (I hope you don't take offense at this) cute. smiley - smiley

The only thing I could give constructive critisim on is the one about 1990 and the population of the town rising. It isn't clear whether the population rose to 1,990 or that it happened in the year 1990.

That's the only problem I could find with it.

Well maybe I will fix that sometime but luckily confusion and fear are some of the things that the page should convey. Hmm, did you hear that several members of mst3k are forming an online magazine.

Well you can read all the info about it on the front page of the mst3k info site: http://www.mst3kinfo.com
read there for full details but several of the onscreen cast members are involved and it will be called timmybighands.com

Have any of you seen this?

Me and some friends in college talked about trying this, but never got past the talking stage. I don't think there is any way we could have pulled it off, anyway.
