There's The Inquisitor for an example aswell...

Lister saves Inquisitor's life (from a situation set up by lister) so that he can't be killed or Inquisitor will be committing suicide but Inquisitor can just delete Lister from existence so that his life wouldn't be threatened in the first place... but you already knew that!
