Firsty, let me thank you all for your comments. This is the most postings I've had to an entry yet.
Secondly I appologise for the spelling errors.
Thirdly, I realise some of you are wondering why I haven't put in examples from The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy and other examples from the likes of Doctor Who etc...
I used the most recent examples from the biggest medium (ie TV) to illustrate my examples. While many of Douglas Adams' examples are noteworthy, there are other examples from TV and films that better illustrated the principle. Also many of his ideas were funny and time-travelly, and I was looking for a more serious outlook. Sorry.
However, I put my hand up and admit that the 1p deposit in a bank account to pay for your meal at Milliways should have been included. It is such a great idea.
Key: Complain about this post

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
