Is mise Duncan

Ooo-er places I have lived in (or near) include "Bell End" in Birmingham and "Ballsbridge" in Dublin (which is near Stillorgan) but it may be that these are only oo-erish to a mind as childlike as mine.

There's a town in France called "Montcul", which sounds exactly like "Mon cul", meaning "My ass". Hours of endless fun. ("Il y a un train dans Moncuq !", har har.)

I believe an American town has a name which sounds like "My anus", but I'll be darned if I can remember the spelling.

I bet every country/region in the world has at least a couple of comically named places... no h2g2 entry on that ? smiley - winkeye

(on a related note, see how many, um, humorous names you can find in a phone book.)

I drove through Knob Lick last Sunday for the first time in about 8 years. Stopped for gas in Bald Knob, Arkansas, too! It reminded me that I had written entries about both. smiley - smiley
