Happy birthday to me!
echomikeromeo Started conversation Feb 7, 2006
Yesterday was my 16th birthday. I'm still trying to tell if I feel any different. I feel like I should, at 16, but the biggest deal is that I am now able to use all the BBC messageboards. I can't drive or anything.
Got some nice presents, though. Some cool books, CDs, DVDs, etc. including Pink Floyd's The Wall. This is my first rock album and I shall treasure it, especially because it's *awesome*.
Have some cake, everyone!

Wow, happy birthday for yesterday!
I was the same, I thought I might feel different but didn't. Same on my 18th. Now I feel different, because I can get served in pubs, I can drive, and I'm at uni. I think it's material changes like that which change how you feel - a birthday's just another day.
Happy birthday to me!

Happy bouncing birthday EMR!!!
Your first rock album? You don't own any others? Well I suppose The Floyd is a good place to start, luv 'em, my second favourite band after Queen. The Wall's particularly nice because of the storyline in it though the length can put-off some folk.
No birthday's are somewhat overrated, unless, like Elentari said, things that you can do change then there's not much amazing about it once the day itself is over. Still, it means you're one step further to being an adult and out of adolescence, at which time you'll realise how much you want to be one again, life's a bit funny like that :p

Happy birthday!
Allthough given you are "across the pond" I suppose you cannot drink until you are 21 right?

Are there some states where the legal drinking age is 18? I recall an American friend Iused to know in London remarking that 'I can drink in every state now' when he turned 21.
Either way, happy birthday emr

Happy Birthday Echo I've always thought of you being in your 20s sophisticated and a real nice gentleman obviously I am wrong!!!!
I still think you are though and by the time you reach your 20s who knows you could be even cooler I doubt it though as you are as
as people come and couldn't possibly be cooler.
Am i wrong about gender too?
