On Wednesday of this week, I am changing my broadband service provider. Having been assured of a smooth changeover, I am immediately certain that there will be problems!
So! If I am not around for a while you will all know why

You'll need it!
Envious, though... stuck here in Hull, we've no option but Karoo, which isn't very competitive. All the other providers have the small print "Requires a BT line" - we don't have one!

, scorp. The husband recently made changes to our contract, so we could suffer a similar fate once it comes into eefect - which should be on 10th March.

True, but it's the Beeblecast next time, so I guess I could have finished everything before then?

Scorp. I am sure that it will all be okay.
Our internet provider has been very quick and efficient in sorting out any problems we have had in the past. They are all getting better now, probably because there is a lot of competition about (if you have a phone line ).
Hope everything goes well.

Scorp, I got broadband (first time) everything went like clockwork, but I hear changing can be a bit of a trial, but I am sure it will be ok.
Fingers crossed too,
Websailor

I managed to change suppliers wth no problem, after the previous one gave up on trying to solve the problem with my line. They (Orange, since you asked! ) blamed everyone but themselves for the problem.
One new broadband supplier later, and everything works just fine.
When the contract comes up I'll probably change it again, as broadband costs have fallen yet again.

I'm going from B* to SK* Prof! If it works as I hope, then it will cost me a fair bit less coin of the realm and I shall get the tv channels as well. I've gone for the 'knowledge' package with things like animal planet, National Geographic etc. Fingers crossed. If it all goes pear shaped I can at least use the local library for a while, so all is not lost.
