Tuesday, 29th August 2006, 5-05am, Mam passed away peacefully in her sleep...
Myself and hubby were with her at the home..

Many thanks to all my friends on hootoo for their kind words of comfort and support on my Hospital thread...

it was something to be expected, but even so, its still a shock when it happens.
remember and reflect back on the good times.

im sure you have many memories and stories to tell

So sorry Sheryl, Like Helen says it was expected but still a shock. All I can say is our thoughts are with you and your family, you're a strong lady but let the strength go for a while and cry it'll not make things the same as they were before but it may help just a little bless you all.

shel ive done it so many time in the last 30 years, now ive only my neices and nephews left,billy my cusin was only a year back, it dont get easyier, to be the lastjimxxxxx

Do have as much of a cry as you need, she's your mam, she deserves it. So glad she went peacefully, that's all any of us can ask at the end really.

So now it's down to practical stuff; i hope you are getting help with that? And once that's sorted, then for goodness sake try & get some time for yourself; you have been so strong.

RIP mam, never knew you in real life, only through the words of your smashing daughter; you produced a good one there.

to hear about you loss PM, I remember when my Mam went, and that was after 18 months of battling with cancer, yet even though it was expected its still hard to come to terms with.

The funeral is to take place on Monday, September 4th. 2006..

I'll be thinking of you & her. I see my therapist that day, so maybe i might talk about losing parent stuff; i lost mine when very young, it might be a good time to finally bring up the subject.

Sometimes knowing what someone else is going through brings stuff back & maybe that's no bad thing. It's good that you are both crying yet able to communicate with caring friends.

If mam's passing helps you to talk about your loss, then it can only be a good thing, and she was always a helpfull lady.. It would be a lovely send off to know that she was still helping others from beyond...

So sorry sheryl,your mum may have gone from your presence,she'll never go from your life.
"God gave us memories,that we might have roses in december",is written on a stone i have in the garden..that i bought and put next to a rose tree when my mum died.I've thought many times how true it is.At peace now
