*cranes neck to try and get a look at it*
Still there! It was on my list of Things I really Should do Before I'm 40...
And there were needles involved, oh yes, that much I remember

It's like semi-detached. Only part of it is permanent. The bit you don't like.
Gone!
Beatrice Posted Nov 6, 2003
No, it's that it's pemanent but not for ever ...
i.e it should disappear in a few years.

Well, OK is a building a permanent structure?
If you have a permanent job, how long will that last?
A "perm" at the hairdressers (same root) lasts about 6 months...

That is true, but the 'semi'permanent' tattoos may end up being fully-permanent because of the pigment changes in the skin. There are no guarantees...

I've had permanent jobs that lasted far too long for my liking...

OK.
Ku, thanks for the warning on the tattoo. If it does last longer than intended, I dont really mind, but I'm glad I didnt get it in a really obvious place
No job's really permanent these days, though, is it?

Woohoo!! I was just told yesterday that I got a raise.. A whopping £25/month. That just about covers the extra costs of the National Insurance increase earlier in the year. The ing bs.

Go on. Spend it all at once. After tax and NI you should be able to afford a bag of chips.

Beatrice Posted Nov 6, 2003
Is that fries (with salt and vinegar you lucky beggars, rather than mayonnaise)?
Or crisps (salt and vinegar flavour you lucky....er...sorry, obviously being hit by a rather major wave of homesickness )

Isn't it weird how other countries put mayonnaise on their chips? What's wrong with good old-fashioned acid?

I'll get about enough for a take-away after the NI and taxes have been taken. That's good, innit? Two and a half years without any type of a raise, and then I get an extra 25/month. That just sucks..
