It has come to my attention that h2g2 makes note of what entries are infact 'negelected'. I feel appauled by such an act, as soon I have made it my quest to make sure that such entries don't be negelected too long.
Actually I am going this get one of my threads in there, but that is another story. If you don't like my idea, then maybe you could help me have one of the busiest threads

well, i suppose i could help you. but what exactly is in it for me? i mean will i win a prize or something? a lovely fruit basket would be nice or perhaps a cheese platter. but no feta please, goats give me the willies. is there such a thing as turtle cheese? that would be grand indeed.

Dear Mrs. Slartibartfast,
I am writing to you to say thanks for your interest in my journal entry about negelected items. Since it is no longer negelected, we may as well try to make it a busy forum. For this I have decided to throw a wine and cheese party.
I can arrange a huge plate of different chesses (no fetta). Heaps of crackers, and a cheese knife or two. As for turtle cheese, I don't think so, as they are not mammals so there is now need for them to produce milk.
As for the wine, I live in a city that has vinyards close by, so I am sure if we run out, we could just race out and get some more.
Regards
Mr Garibaldi
P.S. Did I ever tell you I don't trust telepaths?

mr. garibaldi, glad to be of service. and the party is a brilliant idea. since there is apparently no turtle cheese, can you arrange to have bits of turtle on the side? i have a great taste for turtle and i'm sure it will be yummy. and by the way i already knew you didn't trust telepaths. sincerely, mrs. slartibartfast

Ok, I think I will be able to find some turtle for you. I have also found about 100 new hatchlings so we can use them as finger food.
As for the main course, I am thinking we could serve up some swan.
Please let me know. Also if you send me a list of your intended guests, we will be able to send out invitations.
Regards
Mr Garibaldi

mr. garabaldi, you are indeed a generous soul. the hatchlings are a wonderful idea, as they are quite tender at that age. swan is rather nice as well but i was leaning more towards grilled penguin. perhaps we could have both? as for my list of invitees anyone who fancies turtles and hates baloonies are fine with me. sincerely, mrs.slartibartfast

Hmm, grilled penguin, I never though of that. Ok, I will put it on the menu.
I do agree with you about no balloons (especially those balloon animals)... Hang on, are you getting a feeling of deja vu? Next thing you will be saying something about an armadillo starting a mass suicide of balloon animals...

yes i do get the deja vu thing as well. curious. have we met somewhere before? how did you hear about the armadillo? are you a telepath as well? mind you i really don't have to ask any of this, being a telepath myself.

Um, the armadillo was just the first thing that popped in to my head. As for you being a telepath, 'Stay out of my head'.
*cracks open some wine* I'm going to have a drink, you want one too?

Joins party, brings beer and kiwi chicks. Thought a conversation on Bengal Tigers would suit the fading daylight hour

Come on in Looneytunes.
Thanks for the beer, and especially kiwi chicks. Just put the beer in that huge refridgerated truck over there in the corner (that's the fridge for the party). As for the kiwi chicks, I could put them in the oven to warm them up.
Now that you brought up a topic to talk about, please continue and tell us more about Bendal Tigers.
Oh, as for a seat, just sit over there near the nibbles table. Dinner will be served when we get more guests.
Have a nice night

For an informed debate on Bengal Tigers check out my home page. As for putting the kiwi chicks in the oven, how barbaric. Some of their best friends are aussie sheilas

My apologies, I thought you meant as in little baby kiwis (at in the feathered variety). I will get them out of the oven right away. I just hope I didn't burn them.
The reason I got mixed up is because Mrs Slartibartfast and I were talking about exotic foods. But I am glad you brought the beer. I hope it's a really nice New Zealand beer.

mrs. slartibartfast Posted Jun 21, 1999
yes. good beer is in order. back in a moment. i have to fetch some more turtle.
Everyone is Welcomed!!
Lonnytunes - Winter Is Here Posted Jun 21, 1999
The beer is called Tui (nicknamed Mocking Bird after the birds call). Cold and wonderful. Whenever my friends and I pass the river the Tui Brewery gets its water from we urinate in the river to add flavour to the beer. Works a treat.

Don't be long Mrs Slartibartfast, I have to go *coughs* home for a little while.
Ah, Looneytunes, that gives more meaning to the Australia slang for beer (and alcohol in general) which is 'piss'.
Ok, everyone this party needs more people. Lets all invite a friend along
Everyone is Welcomed!!
