Do you get the new episodes in England? If you do, how long do you have to wait to see them after they have been shown in the States? And how often are the older episodes shown? In the U.S., everyone gets the new episode on Sunday. The older episodes are shown once a day during the week, but some cities show old episodes twice a day during the week. Where I live now we only get one a day, and it is shown too late at night for me to see. Sigh. Glad my VCR works.

We only get 2-4 a week on the BBC depending on what sort of mood the TV bosses are in, though if you have sky, you get more. We get 1-2 on Monday, and another 1-2 on Friday, though we are not told which ones are new, and which ones are repeats.

Anyone care to guess where my name comes from?

Many years ago when SKY TV was fairly new in the BBC I used to watch the Simpsons round my friends house (we're talking around 1990 here). The BBC only started showing some episodes many years later and all of them I had seen previously on Sky. The BBC are already showing repeats of repeats of repeats this year and we're only half way through it. As someone said above, they only have around half of the episodes to show. New episodes I think are shown on Sky but because of Mr Murdoch and his monopoly those of us not taken in by the con that is Sky will probably have to wait a very long time to see them, that's if we ever get the chance. British TV sucks.

I love the one where Homer gets barred from Moe's tavern:
MOE: Hey Homer, your not welcome here anymore. Barney show him the exit!
BARNEY: There's an exit?
Sounds strangely familiar.....

Hey...yo what's happening dudes
I'm the guy with the rep for being rude
Terrorising people, wherever I go
It's not intentional just keepin' the flow....
Does anyone remember "Do the Bartman" which got into the charts a few years ago when the first wave of Simpson craze started?

Unfortunately, yes, I do.
Everybody if you can, do the Bart man
Everybody if you can, do the Bart man
What an annoying song.
I still love the Simpsons though

It was called DEEP DEEP TROUBLE and got absolutely nowhere in the charts but did manage to make it to my record collection. Both tracks cam from the album "The Simpsons Sing the Blues". For a long time this was only available in the states but I found a copy in my local record store at the start of this year. Very interesting!

Hmm...I've always been a bit strange. I also bought "In the Key of Springfield" which I guess must make me a very sad person with no life (which is possibly true).
However, I do draw the line at Smurf albums....I leave that for my sister!

My sister knows nothing about computers and she probably wouldn't care anyway.
Smurf was a nickname I picked up at uni for being small (just over five foot) and turning blue when drunk. I think this was more to do with the strange drinks people kept buying me than the actual quantity.

There is supposedly a sequel to "Songs in the Key of Springfield" in the works, but I say supposedly because the project has been killed and then brought back several times in the last year.
That is a great album, by the way. My favorite song would be "See my vest" from the episode where Burns plots to make a vest out of the Simpsons puppies.
I seem to recall seeing a video for "Deep Deep Trouble," but I couldn't tell you what was in it (Other than Bart getting in trouble for stuff, of course)

How about the X-Files episode of The Simpsons?
Favorite quote 1:
(Homer) I saw it in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around a city, keeping its SPEED over fifty, and if its SPEED dropped, it would explode. I think it was called 'The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down.'
Favorite quote 2:
(Homer, trying a beer called 'Red Tick') Bold, refreshing, and something I can't quite put my finger on...
(Worker at the Red Tick Brewery, where dogs are swimming in vats of beer) Hmm, needs more dog.

What about suggestions for favourite open titles? I can't actually think of any off hand.
